Participate: Report Sightings

HAVE YOU SEEN A COLOR-BANDED CHICKADEE, JUNCO, OR FOX SPARROW? ALREADY KNOW WHAT TO DO, JUST NEED THE LINK FOR THE ONLINE REPORTING FORM?  CLICK HERE

Do you enjoy bird watching?  Are you interested in bird research, but not ready for bird banding?  Put your binoculars to good use!  Help locate color-banded birds and contribute to PSBO’s study of Birds Wintering in Urban Landscapes. PSBO needs year-round volunteer assistance recording sightings of color-banded chickadees, juncos, and Fox Sparrows in the Shoreline and Lake Forest Park areas.  Volunteer sighters can work at their own pace or join other volunteers during scheduled banding sessions.

We are happy to train volunteers interested in helping us re-sight the birds we color-band.  Contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Cindy, by calling (425)  876-1055, or send an email to cindy@pugetsoundbirds.org for more information.
